... as you know, john w. takes beth to yoko's mother's house. unfortunately, when they arrive, the house is empty. just a huge pile of clothes scattered on the grass.
"oooh girls, john says under his breath, really you could have put your stuff away..."
— is it your home? beth asks.
— not really, john says, but i wonder what happened. maybe a monster has frightened them and they took refuge in the forest. i'd never have let them alone.
— come on, he says, we must find them. it could be serious.
… vous l'avez compris, john w. emmène beth chez la maman de yoko. hélas, quand il arrive, il n'y a personne. juste un énorme tas de vêtements qui jonchent l'herbe.
"elles auraient quand même pu ranger, se dit john, ces filles, vraiment…"
— c'est chez toi? demande beth.
— pas vraiment, répond john, mais je me demande bien ce qui a pu arriver. peut-être qu'un monstre les a effrayées et qu'elles sont parties se réfugier dans la forêt. je n'aurais jamais dû les laisser seules.
— viens, ajoute-t-il, partons les chercher.
— look at that, exclaims Beth, a prom dress. oh it's sooo beautiful, do you think i can fit it?
— noooo, john screams, holding his head in his hands.
he tears off beth from the pile of clothes and pulls her strongly in the forest.
- scream loudly with me: "yooookooo, liseeette, yooookooo..."
they are so noisy, that they don't even hear the voices calling "johoon, johoon". fortunately, they see yoko climbing on top of a tree.

— noooon, hurle john en se prenant la tête entre les mains.
il arrache beth du tas de vêtements et l'entraîne vivement dans la forêt.
— crie fort avec moi : yooookooo, liseeette, yooookooo…
ils font tellement de bruit en criant qu'ils n'entendent même pas les voix qui appellent "johoon, johoon!" heureusement, ils aperçoivent enfin yoko en haut d'un arbre.
- john w., she shouts, who's that girl?
mom runs to john and gives him a big hug. she was so anxious. she holds a little girl wearing a red cape.
- who's this girl? ask john…
— john W, crie yoko, qui est cette fille?
maman se précipite vers john et le serre dans ses bras. elle était tellement inquiète. elle tient à la main une toute petite fille vêtue d'une cape rouge.
— qui est cette fille? demande john…
