Sex and the puxies

A charming dad wrote me last month to ask if i was planning puxie boys. Very clever question indeed!

why not? you will think; why? i wonder…

Actually, what makes you think my puxies are females?

Here is a newborn baby: girl or boy? who knows? Nothing in the morphology can help, nothing in the hat gives any clue.
Face the truth and try to admit it: puxies have no sex!

So, what's about reproduction, you will ask…
Reproduction is the easiest part of the topic: puxies are all created, one by one and only by me; not reproduced. This is the key!



Look attentively to this pic. Twins! Darn it! How can this be possible?
Ha! You see, i'm not the kind of person who sews ten bodies, then makes ten heads, rolls twenty arms, etc. Oh no no no! It would be hell! Each puxie is unique and one can't be started before the older is completely ready. Just like human beings! Except for twins. In our case, twins are a choice and not some accident. This is very comfortable. Twins start together and are ready at the same time.

If these little ones are not specifically boys or girls, let's talk about gender.  

Everybody knows gender is a social construction.

If your puxie is raised like a girl, everybody will find the girl in it without any hesitation, obviously. But who cares?
What's the most important clue when you look at this young builder? braids or overalls? hard to say!

Who is this young spitfire, and don't it act like a boy (I swear I personally know some girls with the same skills for dangerous behaviors)? Limette, audacious car driver and funny kid!

And what's about Noisette, the young architect? By the way, Noisette can seem shy, but is actually very focused on calculations, elevations and workers' work. a tiny mistake and the whole building can fall! oh yes, braids and pink overalls? just like my boyfriend when we met at the art school…

Olive is the one who knows the life! A very gifted builder, stout and fearless, who loves to seat on a beam with a good old beer before a deserved nap!

Whatever, boys or girls, all they need is love (and food, but we'll chat about next week) and a cuddly home.
