the larssons 3- kersti

thank a lot Anna for the following informations: Kersti was born in 1896. she studied gardening and practised it. She was married to Aksel Friedberg and had 5 kids — Ulla-Brita, Anders, Marit, Ulf, Karin. She was died in 1975.
because she is younger than lisbeth and brita, i made a 12" kersti.

my kersti is a dreamer. she loves nature, flowers, trees.

she needs to feel the changes of the seasons.

she prefers playing outside, climbing the trees, running in the meadows.

i made her traditional swedish outfit: red dress, stripped apron, flowery bonnet and shawl.

the larssons 2- brita

brita was born in 1893, she was the third daughter and the fifth child in the larsson family.

(she isn't sad all the time, it's her "picture face")

you know karin's educational principles: encouragements but no rewards, scolding but no corporal punishment.

today, brita is punished and she takes her meal alone, after the family. of course, she's not very happy, she'd like to play with her sibling in the garden.

happily, brita has a loved doll with whom she can play when she feels abandoned.

edit from my friend anna: Brita as Lisbet became a physiotherapist, was married to Gustav Friedrich and had 4 kids - Ulva, Loki, Daike and Nils. She died in 1982.

the larsson's children. 1 lisbeth

when i was a child, i was fascinated by the paintings carl larsson made of his children. i didn't grow up a lot, so i still like them.

during august, i decided to make four dolls from pictures of his youngest children.

lisbeth was the second daughter of karine and carl larsson. she was born in 1891.

it's very difficult to learn details about the personality of lisbeth.

so, i decide she was a rascal! a nice one, of course, but the pictures his father painted showed her like a playful trouble maker.

edit: my friend anna sent me informations about lisbeth: she became a physiotherapist, was married to Gustav Brunkman and had 3 daughters - Kersti, Karin and Birgit. Lisbeth died in 1979.

prairie girls

in the attic

— granny, have you got a ghost in the attic?

— oh my god, no, said granny.
— of course we have, said grandpa.
— can we visit it, asked tilly?

ooohh, the attic is so dark…

— don't stay here sweeties, said grandma, it's so dusty.

— i can't see any ghost here! too bad…

booooo… booooo…

— albert, said granny, stop fooling, they'll have nightmares.

— oh granny, we said, we aren't afraid.

— aaaaaaahhhhhhh, what's that? granny, somebody's here…
— oh geez, said granny, look at that albert, it's your mother's doll. it's a very very old doll, girls, she's very very tired… and also dirty.

— you know what, we'll took her in the garden and clean her and see what we can do for her. okay girls?

the coloring book

what i prefer with the little house, it's climbing on the roof and zeeee, i slip…

tillyyyy, look at me, i can stand up on the roof…

and granny called the ambulance WEE WOO WEE WOO WEE WOO WEE WOO

and you know what, granny gave me a coloring book! and tilly asked "granny please granny, may i have a coloring book too, even if i don't fall on my head?"
and granny gave her another coloring book, she's the best granny ever!

dizzy miss piggy

you know my favorite piglet is dizzy miss piggy.
of course, i can't play with her inside of the house. 

but they don't say anything about the outside of the house…

the sewing party

every Friday, granny has her sewing party with her pals. they all come with bits of fabric and sew them all together to make a large quilt.

tilly and i, we have a good idea: we will also cut small pieces of fabric and then sew them together.

— which one do you want, tilly?
— cut more tartan, helo, it's so classical!

yep, what a good work!

granny will be so happy on next friday!

the most beautiful day of the life

granny woke us early this morning and she seemed very excited.
so we made very quick our morning gym and run outside.

and guess what: oh my goodness!
grandpa built us a house. LOOK AT THIS! just for tilly and me and pink pig and mia.

and granny sewed pillows and a couch and a blanket. just for us! (shoes off, please!)

tilly run into our room so we have our books in our house.

and i begin to explore the roof.
we have the most wonderful grandparents of the whole world...

we could invite them for the breakfast in our sweet home, isn't it, tilly?

granny asked today: "who want to help me in the garden? i need vegetables for a soup."
tilly and i, we love helping in the garden.

look at all these vegetables well arranged!
— i handle everything, don't worry, grandma, i said.

nothing better than a nice soup with lots of vegetables, isn't it?

fishing with grandpa

today, grandpa led us to fishing. i love fishing, except we can't talk.

oh, an old bottle of beer bothers the fish... splash in the water!
- heloise, shouted tilly.
- hi tilly, i said, you should come, it's so good!

't doesn't matter, said grandpa, one hour in the sun and no one won't ever know…

day 3

day 2

grandpa awakened us early and told us to go down very quietly to avoid waking grandma. too bad, he said pink pig and mia should continue to sleep.

we finally saw the pigs! it's so exciting, they are so cute! there was even babies. I LOVE THEM.

i 'd love to take them in the kitchen so they have breakfast with us, but grandpa said "um, i don't think odette would like that!" and we laughed because he made a funny face and a wink!

day 1

tilly and i, we watched each other and we laughed. it was so funny, we were almost the same.

she took my hand and we began to be friends.
pink pig and mia were happy together.

then, we arrived at the farm. wow, it's a big farm! we wanted to see the pigs immediately but granny said we had to put our suitcases in our room first.
"tilly, you'll have tom's bed, and heloise you'll take nick's bed", she said. our dads lived there when they were children.

we had a lunch. in fact, we were very hungry.
granny said we should take a nap before visiting the piggery.

we put the beds nearby to talk silently.

we were not tired at all.  we just read books. there are lots of book in our room. or maybe we slept a little, because when we woke up, it was too late for the pigs. blast!

but grandpa was back home. he said "did you sleep well, beautiful princesses?" he is funny. he promised to wake us up at dawn tomorrow to see the pigs.
